ProXcide™ decontamination and improved cleaning process reduce C. diff by 92%
Background
Aim to substantiate the long-term effectiveness in a stroke rehabilitation unit of deep cleaning and hydrogen peroxide decontamination (HPD).
Method
Environmental sampling taken before and after deep cleaning; immediately following HPD; and two further occasions.
Result
HPD, after deep cleaning with a detergent/chlorine agent, was highly effective for removing C. diff contamination.
