At Inivos, our business is reducing the risk of people acquiring infection. And that is no more relevant than it is today.
We all know the enormous pressure NHS hospitals are currently under in the fight against COVID-19.
One of the main issues NHS hospitals are facing is finding a reliable supply of critical products, such as face protection, respirators, gowns and hand sanitiser, without having to search endlessly for them.
To put this in context, a recent survey by The Royal College of Physicians revealed:
- 37% of doctors performing aerosol-generating procedures (AGP), in which patients with the disease release droplets from their mouth, don’t always have access to a visor to wear
- 31% have not been able to obtain a full-length surgical gown
- 27% said they can’t get the kit they need to keep them safe while treating people with COVID-19 (this is up from 22% at the start of April 2020)
These staggering figures show the huge scale of the personal protective equipment (PPE) shortage.
And we want to do our bit to help.
As Inivos has existing trading relationships with most NHS trusts throughout the UK, we have set up a website to bring together available supplies for hospitals who have a need.
We are working with our current suppliers to source these critical products and add to them our website. The website will be live for as long as required, and we hope that it proves helpful in protecting the NHS staff working tirelessly on the front line to save lives.
To search for the products you need, visit the website.
