Background
Hospital MRSA infection is one of the biggest concerns in healthcare industry. The efficacy of UV-C decontamination in reducing acquisition of MRSA and hospital outbreak was studied.
Method
The Ultra-V™ UV-C system was used to perform environmental decontamination on a gastroenterology ward infected with MRSA.
Result
After manual cleaning was not effective, the Ultra-V™ system was used. Swabs taken afterwards came back negative for MRSA.
