Meet our Goods In Specialist

Earlier this month we met our Product Manager, Wendy Edmond-Arnett.  As part of a series, we are giving you the chance to meet the people behind our products, the people that answer the phone when you call us, the people that make Inivos the experts in infection prevention and control. This week we meet our Goods In Speicalist, Simon Kinsley.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I am responsible for managing the Goods in and Goods out, booking in deliveries, fulfilling customer orders, picking and packing, fulfilling shortages for the production team as well as ensuring we have good stock levels whilst keeping stores organised and safe at all times.

What is something only a few people know about you?

I have a 10-year-old Daughter and I love the old classic mini.

How did you get into your area of work?

For 10 years I have been in the warehouse environment, before that I was in retail face to face with the public.

What is it about your industry that inspires you?

I am an organised person, so I get satisfaction from getting the job done correctly.

Simon at Cropredy

What do you enjoy most about working at Inivos?

I find it’s an easy environment, not particularly stressful. I feel the work we all do at Inivos is understood and appreciated.

What are your interests outside of work?

Model making, I have made different kinds of models from a London Bus to WW2 ships, The Cutty Sark to the Titanic, my latest one that I have completed is a Westland Lynx Helicopter.

I enjoy motor bikes and the old Classic Mini, watching the Marvel films, and chilling in the garden. I also enjoy going to a small Festival each year called Cropredy, I have been going for the last 13 years with the same group of people I have known over the years. It’s nice to get away for a few days, stuck in the middle of a field enjoying the atmosphere, nice weather (at times) and generally relaxing listening to great music.

From your time here at Inivos, tell me about a work achievement that you are most proud of.

I rearranged the stores to make it work much better me to get my job done efficiently and effectively. People often comment when they visit how much better the space is now.

What advice do you have for someone just starting out in your area of work?

Think in a logical frame of mind, try and think 2- 3 steps ahead and know what you want to achieve.

Thanks for your time, Simon!

We hope you enjoyed meeting Simon, keep an eye out for the next post in our series when we will be meeting Ben Kilbey, our Regional Manager for the UK North.
