Meet our Head of HR

Earlier this month we met our finance assistant, Andrew Rivett.  As part of a series, we are giving you the chance to meet the people behind our products, the people that answer the phone when you call us, the people that make Inivos the experts in infection prevention and control. This week we meet our Head of HR, Lizzie Robson.

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical day is ensuring that support is offered to all employees in the business whether this be in the form of absence management, payroll, team support, individual employee support or performance support.

What is something only a few people know about you?

I accomplished Grade 5 on the Cello and used to play for the Cello for under 13’s county wide.

How did you get into your area of work?

I joined the company as an executive assistant and became curious about HR. Through conversations with external HR professionals, I decided this was a career path I wanted to follow. Inivos supported me in my decision and I am pleased to be where I am today and the role I play in the business.

What is it about your industry that inspires you?

Healthcare is an integral part of everyone’s day-to-day life and being part of an organization that helps to give back to the community and support in the running of the healthcare industry is very rewarding.

Imagine there are now 25 hours in a day, what would you do with that extra hour?

Use it to read, whether this be fiction, non-fiction or magazines. I do not have enough time for this at the moment and getting lost in a book is something I love to do.

What do you enjoy most about working at Inivos?

The open and honest culture and the drive to always do better. This has allowed me to really develop and grow as an individual. I also admire the opportunities that Inivos offers to people who want it.

What are your interests outside of work?

I really enjoy exploring new places whether it is long walks and pub lunches in new places, especially quaint little villages and towns with lots of character, or somewhere close to the water.

From your time here at Inivos, tell me about a work achievement that you are most proud of.

Developing my knowledge and growing in the HR role and being able to support the business and the employees.

What advice do you have for someone just starting out in your area of work?

Be transparent and open. Everyone makes mistakes, but it is about being open and transparent to your colleagues and managers so that they can help guide you to learn from them and enhance your development.

Thanks for your time, Lizzie!

We hope you enjoyed meeting Lizzie, keep an eye out for the next post in our series when we will be meeting Dean Remmington, our regional manager for the south of England.
